Le photographe emblématique d'Hollywood Robert Coburn

Coburn est né en juin 1900. Pendant trois décennies, il a été l'un des plus importants photographes portraitistes à Hollywood, des années 1930 aux années 60.

 

Il était bien connu pour avoir photographié Joan Crawford, Carole Lombard, Hedy Lamarr, Henry Fonda, Joel McCrea, Lucille Ball, Marlon Brando, Montgomery Clift, Janet Leigh, Orson Welles, Ginger Rogers, Fred Astaire, Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, et Kim Novak.

 

Rita Hayworth a dit qu'il était son propre photographe préféré et il a pris quelques-unes de ses meilleures photos connues y compris celles pour son film le plus mémorable, "Gilda".

 

Débutant en 1940, il a commencé à travailler pour Columbia pendant 20 ans.

 

Il est décédé le 3 Juillet 1990, à Canoga Park, en Californie.

Il est enterré à Los Angeles au Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
